Today when I got home from work I saw the heat and sun worked its magic! Alot of the tight rosebuds on my pink rose were opened! What a beautiful sight that was. Below I'm sharing some of my best shots of them. I also took a picture of the red antique rose fully opened. Enjoy!
This pale pink rosebud was all by itself on the bush. It was perfect to shoot it without other roses in the way.
This is an antique rose I bought from The Antique Rose Emporium in Texas. Here is their website: http://www.antiqueroseemporium.com/index.html I have 5 antique roses from there and they are absolutely beautiful! They seem to be more hardy than the delicate tea roses of today also.
These lovely white flowers are in a flower pot I've got on the brick wall next to the outdoor fireplace. I thought the sun was hitting them just right tonight!
I hope you enjoyed these pictures. I really enjoy taking photos of all my flowers. I'm thinking of making them into note cards and selling them on etsy.com. What do y'all think about that idea, please let me know! Enjoy your evening!
The roses are beautiful. Your yard must smell heavenly!
ReplyDeleteI was inspired to walk around and take pictures of our flowers. Unfortunately, our garden is um, not as well tended as yours!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I am so jealous right now, those are beautiful...I can almost smell them through my computer!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful day to you Sherri!
Kathi :)
Thanks everyone! I really love this rose, it will bloom all summer if you keep deadheading it. It smells wonderful too! I bring some in the house and it fills the room with a wonderful light rose scent!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are lovely! I don't expect we will see any here before June. It was a very hard winter for them.

Beautiful and you are so far ahead of us here!
ReplyDeletegorgeous roses!! We make my photos into cards to send to friends and family using the printer. I've been very pleased with how they come out. I've thought of offering them as a giveaway at some special time on the blog. Donna at Avon Musings uses a company to make them from her pictures. They are so beautiful. You may read more here:

Thanks Nan! Photographer's Edge also carries cards you can just put your photographs in. Some you can even buy with things like Happy Birthday, etc. already printed on them. I was thinking of doing that, but I'll definitely check out the other blog. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You have got the most amazing flowers!
ReplyDeleteWhat is that white flower? My cousin has a plant that we haven't been able to identify, and it looks like that! Here's a pic of it: http://www.kraftbrands.com/homefarming/community/pages/forums.aspx?plckForumPage=ForumDiscussion&plckDiscussionId=Cat%3aaccea354-0ad0-42a0-8709-c3217f8025c7Forum%3a2d4bb8e1-c6ed-442d-9ac4-2d590ce2590cDiscussion%3a2f0554d8-69c7-4432-8941-cfaf7776c50b&plckCurrentPage=0
