Digging Up my Blue Hydrangea
This is a close up of one of my blue hydrangea blossoms. I am going to attempt to dig this plant up this weekend. Probably Sunday while DH is at work. Megan and Ken gave me this hydrangea about 3 years ago for Mother's Day. It is just beautiful this year! I think all the Spring rain helped that. I also have to dig up my climbing red rose. I bought this rose from Antique Rose Emporium in Texas. I love this rose. It will look absolutely wonderful up against the garage (which is white). I have a black wrought iron trellis that goes behind it. My lavendar plant died (the one I transplanted from the old house to the new). I love lavendar, so I told John I'm going to buy a new one this weekend. Maybe I'll get 2, they should be reasonable this time of year. I'm also thinking of making some jewelry. I will have to sort through and find all my jewelry things but I really miss creating. I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Remember all the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom and say a prayer for them!
Good luck with your transplanting. Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned. I'll be gardening too, at least Saturday morning.

My hydrangea is just starting to bloom. I was thinking that I need to move mine too. It's getting too wild in front of my kitchen window.
ReplyDeleteYou do sound like you have a list of 'to do' for the weekend.
We are at the beach and it has weeds galore. Bought a new 'weed wacker' yesterday ... that's what we will be doing ...
Sending out the healthy transplant vibes. When we moved from our first house here in Denver burbs to the current Denver burb house, there were a lot of plants we took with. I absolutely did not want to leave my agastaches, hollyhocks, spirea and Peace roses behind. They got dug up and moved.
ReplyDeleteI think part of our weekend plans are to play in the dirt some and I know we are adding some brick walkway to our driveway. And play in the pool.
Very pretty! We saw hydrangeas in Japan a long time ago. They are so pretty. I'm sorry about your lavender.
ReplyDeleteSherri,
ReplyDeleteThe print of the the "Tea Shop" should be out in a couple of weeks. Happy 4th!
