Oh no snip, snip!!!!
Last night after work I had a hair appointment. I was suppose to have a haircut and highlight. I should back up a little. I got a call about 4 days ago that said my hairdresser was no longer at the salon I was going to and they could reschedule my appointment with someone else. I was a little hesitant, but thought I would give another hairstylist a try. Well that was the wrong decision on my part!! I got to the appointment 10 minutes early (5:50 p.m.) and I didn't leave the salon until 9:15 p.m.!! Now my hair isn't that long, just medium length so it shouldn't have taken that long. The worst part of it was I was minus 3" of hair!!!! After much mixing of highlight and lowlight color and about 50-60 foils later and chop, chop of the hair I walked out of the salon with 3" of hair less and my purse was $105.00 lighter! While I was paying and trying to keep my composure the floor manager told the hairstylist I had they wanted to see her and he let almost everyone else leave. Not a good sign! Maybe that hairstylist will have the same luck as my last hairstylist that was let go! On the hunt for a new stylist again!!
OMG..that would be my biggest nightmare. Does it look okay?
ReplyDeleteI just got a new hairdresser ($10 less) for a cut and color than I was paying and I really like the way she does my hair. Better luck with your new find.
BTW...I got the book signed yesterday. It was crowded (about 75 people) and they wrote Shellie on the inscription instead of Sherri....sorry)LOL
Will mail it tomorrow. The truck show event was awesome.
Diane, it looks all right after I washed and styled it myself, but it is still super short! Thanks for getting the book signed and don't worry Shellie, Sherri it works for me! I can't wait to look at those lovely patterns and I'm taking it to my knitting group too!
ReplyDeleteEver since I moved last year, I have been trying to find a stylist I like. I am still looking!

Hairstylists are like gypsies. They never stay anywhere very long. Anyway, that's been my experience. Frustrating. They don't always tell the customers they are leaving or where they are going.

I wonder if you called the salon, the manager might give you a free cut next time. He obviously was aware there was a problem.
ReplyDeleteReminds me -- I need to go in for a cut myself. And highlights. And a complete body makeover, while I'm at it;)
Oh, wow. Not a good thing. My hair stylist left about a year ago and I've been looking ever since.
ReplyDeleteNow I find the the "walk-in" places good enough for me. I just get the length cut straight across and no more highlights...letting the gray come in naturally.
Hope you're ok with your new style.
Hugs,
Donna
Oh no that isn't good! It's a nightmare when your hairdresser leaves a salon, such a struggle to find another who understands what you want.

The good thing about hair is that it grows back. I just gave myself a haircut on a rush before we left for Maui and realized too late that I cut one sideburn shorter than the other. Aggravating... but at least it was free.
