Wonderful Weekend!
Sorry about complaining about my horrible week on Friday. It was a long hard one for sure. This weekend, however, was wonderful! Friday night was a quiet one with John. We had a nice dinner and then just relaxed watching TV. Yesterday we had breakfast together and then John had to put in a few hours at work and then I went on to my knitting class. I got home around 1:00. The class went really well and I'm knitting away on my lace vine vest. I'm making it in a dark periwinkle blue cotton. So far it is turning out wonderful! I don't have class for another 3 weeks so I have plenty of time to get done what I need too! At around 5 Owen arrived. He was so happy to see us-it just melts your heart!! He ate so much for dinner I thought he would burst-LOL!! Unfortunately Nana didn't have much sleep. He woke up at 12:23 and stayed up for about 1.5 hrs. Then he was crying again at 4:42. That time he took 2 sips from his bottle and fell back to sleep. I feel so sorry for him he is cutting 4-6 teeth on top and he is just having such a hard time. I say 4-6 teeth because it looks like 6 but he won't let you look to see because it hurts. Poor baby! He is usually smiling though the little trooper! Last night we put War Horse on to watch and he feel asleep only 10 mins. into the movie. I thought the movie was really good but I thought the ending was a little hookie. I love horses and grew up with them around all the time so I could feel for the young boy Albert in the movie about his horse, Joey. Owen woke up at 9 a.m today and had a hearty breaksfast of mangoes and oatmeal! Then we played for quite some time. Jenny and Kevin asked us to bring Owen home and have lunch with them. So up to their house we went. Lunch was really nice. We had BLT's and the lettuce was out of their garden. It was so good! Kevin and Jenny sent some lettuce and radishes home with John and I. Needless to say when we got home we both took naps and then John had to leave for his Stephen's Ministry Meeting and I had to make up a jewelry order for a customer. I also needed to package up my Mom's Mother's Day gift for mailing tomorrow. So the weekend even though it seems so short was a really good one! Hope everyone had a good one!!
