Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day and weekend! Mine was so nice with both of my girls! Friday night Jenny took me to a place called Town Hall Restaurant in Florence, SC. I had a wonderful lamb shank and Jenny had pork tenderloin. It was so good!! We went to a Belgian chocolate shop across from the restaurant and I had to get some chocolate treats for everyone! They were so good!

Here are all the chocolates from the Belgian Chocolate shop across from the restaurant. They were so decadent!!
Megan came up yesterday from Georgetown and we had a lovely day! Megan brought up fresh shrimp from Pawley's Island and she also brought some King Crab Legs. Sooo good! She made macaroni salad and brought a beautiful dessert from a local bakery.
This was such a treat!!
Megan and I eating on my screened in porch.
This little cake was so fabulous! It was a lemon raspberry cream cake and it was out of this world!!
After we ate everything we just chilled out on my screened in porch. The day was wonderful!
Thank you to both of my girls for making such a lovely Mother's Day!! Love you both!!
After Megan left, I walked around and watered my plants and I noticed there were little yellow squashes on my plants already! They were only blossoming a few days ago!
My blue hydrangea that I brought from the other house and took a chance planting the other day is now turning blue! I almost didn't plant it because it was all in bud, but I am really glad I did!
This is going to be a fairly busy week. My contractor is coming sometime this week to start working on some of the demo. He called to say he is going to start with the bathroom upstairs. I'm not sure if it is going to be the master bath or the guest bath, but which ever one it is it will be wonderful! The roofer came on Saturday and fixed the roof (mainly it was a flashing issue around the chimney and the 4 roof vents). 10 years ago the previous owner put a new roof on but never had the original flashing replaced! That is just a no no. So when it rained it leaked. Luckily it never came down into the main house just in the attic. I am happy about that! I am really excited for the renovations to begin! I will take you along on my journey as it progresses.
Everyone have a great day!
Sherri
What great Mothers Day celebrations with your girls! I couldn't have said no to the Belgian chocolates (my favorite!) or the cream cake. Wow!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the start of renovations this week, Sherri!
Mary, thank you! I will need it re: renovations! They are doing all the demo but one bath all at the same time! It will be done faster that way!
