Gardens are Thriving Here!

John and I made 2 raised bed gardens for our veggies this year.  I didn't know if we would have much success but we certainly have!  I planted 3 tomato plants, 3 Buttercrunch lettuce plants, 3 hills of burpless cukes and 3 hills of regular cukes, 3 hills of yellow crooked neck squash and 3 hills of zucchini.  Well here is the results:

Cuke blossom peeking out from under the leaves!

Yellow Crooked Neck Squash blossoms.  There are alot so I hope they all produce squash!!

Cukes in the front of the box and the squash in the back of the box!

Tomatoes in the back of the box and lettuce in the front of the box!

Some of my daylilies started blooming here today!  I am really happy with the 2 that started.  Here they are:

Our flower boxes on the front porch rail are doing great too!  I love this coleus that I put in each one:

That is about it for today.  Too hot to do anything more outside.  Good day to stay inside in the AC!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Your gardens really are thriving there. Everything looks so lush and healthy. We were just able to plant outside in the last week or so-we had frost on the first of JUNE....I can't believe it either- xo Diana

Your garden looks like it's growing wonderfully! I just picked my first cucumber and pepper and a few cherry tomatoes this morning. Your flowers are so pretty!

Wonderful post, Sherri. I have a few pots of tomato plants and that's it. Our growing season is so short and it started very wet this year.

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
