Reading alot of Thrillers-they have all been so good!!

I have been listening to alot of audible books and they all seem to be thrillers!!  They have all been so good!  Here is the line up:

1.  An Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena
2.  A Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn
3.  A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena

They have all had great plots!!

I would recommend every one of them if you like thrillers!  They weren't real gorey thrillers just really good mysteries!!

I am now reading Sweet Tea and Sympathy by Molly Harper.  I thought I better read a different genre.  So far so good!

Hurricane Florence 2018

Hurricane Florence has hit NC.  The coast is getting the worst.  We have rain and some wind.  Hopefully that is all we will get!  We have provisions, things to do like books, puzzles, cards, and knitting.  Hopefully the power will hold.  I lift up prayers to the people who are getting the worst of this Hurricane.

Happy Labor Day Everyone!

Happy Labor Day everyone!  I hope everyone is having a relaxing, wonderful, safe Labor Day!  I certainly am!

Saturday, John and I ran errands, had lunch out and then relaxed for the rest of the day.  Sunday, we went out to breakfast, did the grocery shopping and then came home.  I fixed the food for dinner.  Jenny, Kevin and the boys were coming over for dinner.  I would have invited Megan and Ken too but they were away.  After everyone left, John and I just chilled out and watched some TV.  Today I got up super late for me 9:30 a.m.!!!  I am usually up every day at 5:30.  Now I'm hanging out here for a little bit, John is taking a walk on the greenway and then we both are doing nothing but chilling out!  I will read, knit and maybe watch a movie.  It feels so good after working so much OT at work and working the last 7 weekends in a row!  Sometimes you just have to say, I'm taking a break.

There seems to be a bit of a breeze outside today, which is perfect because I would like to sit on the back patio for a little bit and get some fresh air.  We have been in touch with a carpenter and after the HOA says ok, we are putting a roof over the patio with a metal roof!  I love to hear the rain on a metal roof, very calming and relaxing!  Here is a photo I found on pinterest that are close to what we will be having built minus the fireplace and outdoor kitchen.

We are also going for a green metal roof.  We are waiting for the HOA to approve so our carpenter can get started.  We have also hired a flooring specialist to come in and continue the hardwood flooring into the living room.  John and I will rip up the carpet and the flooring specialist will feather the hardwood from the other areas (kitchen, hall and breakfast room area) into the living room.  We can't wait!!  So many wonderful things happened here!

Well I'm off to knit out on the patio for a little while and enjoy the beautiful day!  I wish everyone a Happy Labor Day and have a wonderful week!!
