I used to listen to my Grandma say where does the time go, just yesterday it was the first of the month and now it is almost the end. I used to laugh at her for saying that but boy do I feel like that today! It is already the 28th of the month. March certainly came in like a lion, so I sure hope it goes out like a lamb! I am really looking forward to some really beautiful weather. We have had alot of rainstorms, some with thunder enough to shake the house and other storms are like a Spring mist. It has made our lawn nice and green and it has also help my flowers grow and bloom. I love Spring! It is like a renew time and boy do I need that with my job.
I wasn't going to bring this up but I have been so stressed out with my job being so super busy that I am now not feeling well. I'm sure most of you know I have Lymphoma and I have been doing very well. Tuesday I have to go to get an ultrasound on a lump I found on my side just above my waste. My ribs have started to hurt and sometimes my side hurts. I'm trying to remain positive about what the lump could be. It feels like a cyst and I'm going with that right now. Sometimes out of the blue it really hits me that I have Lymphoma and other times I don't even think about it. I guess this is a natural feeling. It is Spring and I need to renew my faith that everything is going to turn out all right and that I will live to be a ripe old age! (Another one of my Grandma's phrases!!) I plant pansies because they have the cutest little faces and they make me smile! Another wonderful reason to love Spring! I have a little patch of violets too (see below) and it just makes me happy I have them to look at in the shade of the tree they grow under.
I hope everyone hss a wonderful Easter holiday this weekend! Everyone if you remember, please say a prayer for me or two! Love you all!!!

Cold and Windy 03.14.18
Well I guess I spoke to soon in my last post! It has been cold and windy ever since! Where is Spring, what did Winter do with her!! I don't like when Winter goes directly into Spring (we have had many years like that here) but to go from absolutely gorgeous weather to cold and windy that just isn't fair. I guess though I should be thankful I don't live in the mountains where it is still snowing! My Mom and sisters are having alot of snow in NW New Jersey also. My one sister lost power for 6 days!! I felt so bad for her!
Even though it is cold here, the sunsets are still beautiful! Enjoy your evening my friends!!

Spring has sprung in Mint Hill, NC!!
SPRING HAS FINALLY SPRUNG!!!
I love Spring! Spring has been here for a few weeks now in Mint Hill and we are loving it! I have planted my pansies (should have done that in the Fall but ran out of time!), the daffodils are blooming, all the flowering trees around here like magnolias, cherry, pear and bushes like quince and baby's breath are blooming-just gorgeous!!
I decided to make a St. Patrick's Day/Spring wreath for our front door. I saw a little wooden plaque at Hobby Lobby that said "Get Your Green On!!" I knew I just had to put that on my wreath. I saw some really real looking ferns at Hobby Lobby and had to put them on the wreath too! I think it turned out pretty good-see below:
I've done some decorating for Easter too in the Dining Room. The dough bowl my Dad carved by hand for me needed some Easter decorating and this is what I came up with:
John and I had gone to Pottery Barn and they had the cutest little gray bunnies for sale. Of course, one had to come home with me! I thought she would look so cute nestled in amongst some green Spanish moss, faux grape hyacinths, lily of the valley and ferns. I just loved how it came out! Dad would be proud!!
While I was at Hobby Lobby the other day, I saw an armillary there! I just loved it, so I had to bring that home with me too! I had an armillary before but it got broken and I had to throw it away. If you don't know what an armillary is, here is Britannica's explanation:
"Armillary sphere, early astronomical device for representing the great circles of the heavens, including in the most elaborate instruments the horizon, meridian, Equator, tropics, polar circles, and an ecliptic hoop. The sphere is a skeleton celestial globe, with circles divided into degrees for angular measurement."
I had the concrete pedestal already it just needed this armillary!! Great addition to my garden!
Well I know certain parts of the country are getting cold weather, cold freezing rain and snow but right here in my little corner of the world we are experiencing Spring and I am grateful for that!
Enjoy!!
