I finally can say I think I am on the road to recovery, slowly but on the right path! I got showered, dressed and made it downstairs today. Sick of the bed for sure! I have been taking my meds faithfully, sipping on tea and soup and my hubby is taking really good care of me! I even set outside at the picnic table for a few minutes until I got to hot out there. Haven't been able to say that in quite some time! I am back reading and knitting too, so everyone that knows me knows that is a good sign.
Thanks everyone for all your well wishes, you all are so very sweet!

Still Sick!
Today was the first day I finally felt like I was going to get better from this horrible bronchitis! I went to the Dr. on Monday and he told me I have tonsilitis and the start of bronchitis. My fever spiked Monday night to 102 and stayed there until late last night! I felt absolutely horrible. I slept the whole day yesterday, had some soup and rested. I'm on 2 different meds and Motrin. I have called in work and taken the entire week off. I need to rest and I defintely wouldn't be getting any rest there. Thank you everyone for all your well wishes. I'm hoping to be almost all better by the weekend, atleast that is the plan!

I am home sick today.
Today I am home sick with bronchitis. It just came upon me yesterday. I think it is all related to the pollen we have here. Everything is coated in the yellow green pollen! I called very early this morning for a Dr. appt. and I was told I couldn't get in until 3:30 this afternoon! That is really unusual, I usually can get an appt. within 1/2 hr. A realtor called to show the townhouse we are renting and I told her no showings today. I don't need to deal with that! Off to rest and watch some HGTV until my Dr. appt.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Plants in the Garden this Sunday.
Today the weather in Charlotte finally turned nice again! The sun was out and the air was wonderfully warm. I met a friend of mine at Starbucks and we drank our Chai tea outside while we were knitting. What a wonderful day! After I got home I took a short stroll around the courtyard and my plants have grown so much in a week even though it was cold here!! The one morning when I woke up it was 32 degrees! I thought I lived up North again-LOL!
I promised I would show you my tree peony when it opened. Well here it is even though we had alot of wind Friday and yesterday so it is a bit windswept. I love the beautiful magenta color with the golden yellow center!
I love the "puckering" on the leaves of this hosta. I'm not sure whether this hosta is called Avocado or Guacamole.
My Astilbe is really looking wonderful. Pretty soon those lovely red flowers will be sending up the spikes.
All 3 containers I have of lamb's ears are doing great!
The chartreuse green of this creeping jenny plant is stunning! I have to add some plants to this urn with creeping jenny after we move.
The lemon balm is almost ready for me to make Lemon Tea Bread with it. I love that recipe!
Well that is it for this week. Hope you enjoyed this little Sunday stroll!

Patios of all Kinds!
I have always loved patios. I think every house we have owned has had some kind of patio. I just love to sit at the picnic table under the umbrella and read, knit or just daydream! The new house we will be moving to has a paver patio. Our last house had a lovely stamped concrete patio with a brick wall and fireplace-loved that house!! I went on the hgtv.com site and here are some patios they had on there:

I can just see myself and all of my friends on this patio sipping tea and talking about gardening!

This gorgeous patio with the outdoor kitchen is to die for!! Some day I would love to have an outdoor kitchen. Daydreaming again-LOL!

I thought this little courtyard patio was just lovely. The fountain bubbling in the background must be wonderful!

This is a different style of patio-raised up from the ground with beautiful stonework!

This patio is stunning!! The stone, fireplace and placement of everything is so beautiful!!

A garden party would be lovely here.

This patio has a lovely mosaic inlay wall behind it. This looks so relaxing, I would want to lay down on those benches and read or take a nap!

This patio area screams old world or Tuscany style to me. Quite beautiful and I love the fireplace!!
I could look at patio and garden designs all day! Tomorrow I plan on having some iced tea out on our small patio, in between packing up our house for the 4/29 move! Enjoy!
