I had to share my little friend with you!

Just thought I would share my little friend with you! I was sitting on my patio today and guess who jumped on my chest-yes it was Fernando, the little tree frog!! He has been a resident here since we moved here. He is a special tree frog though and on the protected list. I don't know if you can tell by this picture, but he has gold outlining his eyes, hips, mouth and toes! Megan worked with someone that said the Fish, Game and Wildlife Commission in Charlotte will actually pay you to keep these little critters alive! I'm not going to do that, but he is darn cute! We find him suction cupped to our bedroom window, great room window and side lights on the front porch. He also loves my banana tree and hostas. Mr. Black Snake better leave little Fernando alone!

Fernando is adorable! I was just talking to my daughter about how baby outfits often have the frog theme. I can see why now.

Mary, I did take this picture. Fernando was on the door trim on our front door when I went to get the mail one day. I ran and got my camera and took this picture! My daughters said I should right a children's book about Fernando and his adventures in our yard. Maybe someday I will!!

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
