Snow in Charlotte three times in one year!!

The weather in this country has been very strange and Charlotte, NC has not been left out! We had rain all day Friday and Saturday and then last night it started snowing and we got 4"! The picture above is a picture of a tree that has just gotten so bogged down from this very wet snow. It is beautiful to look at but dangerous for electrical wires, trees/limbs falling on cars, homes, etc. I went into work an hour later than normal today due to the icy roads. It definitely paid off because the sun had started to melt the ice and I had no problems.

I really wish Spring would do just that "spring" into action!! Do you hear that Mother Nature!!

I always feel sad when I see trees bending so low as that wet snows weights them down. Such damage can happen.

Funny weather patterns, to be sure.

Hopefully the sun will come and melt it all for you in quick-as-a-bunny time!

Brenda-It's about 3:30 here now and alot of the snow has melted and those poor little bent trees are pretty much standing straight now. Poor things!

Those trees look like they could be really damaged. We have the same problem every year with our evergreens in Chicago. It's bad when the branches crack.

Mother Nature isn't listening to me either. We missed this snow but everyone around us got hit. I hope we've had enough this year. I will admit it is beautiful.

Oh, we had a lot of this a few weeks ago! Poor trees! I wanted to thank you for the WONDERFUL Ireland ideas! We are really getting excited about studying Ireland and got some good books at the library yesterday. I loved hearing about the sweaters! I had no idea... Lori

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
