Do More of What Makes You Happy!

I saw this poster on pinterest and I really liked it! I'm going to paint one someday soon and put it in our new house! This poster got me thinking of what makes me happy. I came up with the ideas:

One of my greatest joys is laughing with Owen. This was taken last weekend and we had such a grand time!!

Having tea with friends-this is one of my favorite past times (don't get to do this often enough though!)

This little squirrel and chick are hugging each other and I do love to hug!

This little boy looks like he is singing his heart out playing that old accordian. I love to sing, even though I'm not very good at it! I think everyone should sing regardless of their voice, just like this little boy!!

I think feeling free enough to twirl around like this little girl would make anyone happy! Wouldn't it make you happy!

Reading books are one of my favorite past times. You can get lost in a book like nothing else!

Knitting is also something that makes me really happy! It is like my yoga-relaxing, good for you and wonderful!

I hope this post makes you think about what makes you happy and I hope you do more that make you happy! Enjoy your weekend everyone!

  1. The older I get, the more I tend to live by that motto. I no longer am afraid to say "no" to things I don't want to do.

    Love the photos!

  2. I am doing that more and more, Sherri. Maybe it is an "age" thing.
I find myself consciously choosing the things that make me happy, instead of worrying about what makes everyone else happy.
    Great pictures.
    Especially your little angel.

  4. I think the older I get the more inclined I am to let some things go that DON'T make me happy. I opt to do things that make me happy and say NO more often than I ever did in my life. I quit saying YES to doing things that I didn't really want to do...and guess what? I am happier! GREAT POST! I think that baby Owen is HAPPY indeed! xo Diana

  8. I live by that saying every single day. If it doesn't make me happy, then I don't do it.
