Woke up in the night to hear lovely rain.

We have not had much rain (even though I know the North has been slammed with rain). Last night I was woke up at 2:30 to the sound of it pouring down rain. It sounded so lovely I fell back to sleep after only a few minutes. My plants in the courtyard should be loving it, especially the banana tree and the impatient plant. This morning everything was glistening in the sun while I walked to my car-it was just beautiful! Hope everyone has a lovely day!

It rained here last night too. This morning everything smelled so clean and fresh. There was a lovely mist hanging over the pasture, I'm sorry I didn't have a camera with me.

Hi Sherri! I haven't been around for awhile - enjoying the summertime. You have been busy. Let's see . . . I love the picture your mom painted of the bluebirds - it is just gorgeous! Your little community is so very pretty. Your courtyard looks lovely and you have done such a wonderful job with your home. I cannot get over all those paperbacks you have to read! My goodness!!! You'll probably whip through them.

Your birthday is tomorrow! Yeah! Welcome to the decade of delight! Tomorrow would've been my dad's birthday, so you were born on a wonderful day! I hope you enjoy your day and enjoy today, also, the last day you are 49!!! You seem happy in your place in life now and that is what matters most. Happy day to you!!

Joyce-I love your phrase "the decade of delight"-that is a much better phrase than over the hill! You have a great day too!

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
