The Turquoise Crochet Purse I made

Last Tuesday night at knitting group one of the girls that works at the shop was leaving when I came in and I saw her purse. She told me she made it and what yarn she used. I had to make this purse! Now remember I have only had one crochet class (I prefer knitting more). She told me the pattern was really easy and I should try it. Her purse yarn was lime green but I was leaning more towards the turquoise. My every day purse I use is lime green and I wanted a different color. So I brought the yarn home and started to work on it the next night. I had it done in 3 nights!! Here it is:

I bought some more yarn on Saturday to make another one in periwinkle and white! I think I am hooked on making purses now.

Sherri, I'm amazed at your knitting and crocheting talent. I remember you just learning not long ago. I've been knitting since I was a young girl and I wouldn't have the patience to make a bag. It's gorgeous!

That's a beautiful bag Sherri! I'm impressed that you had it done in 3 nights. I haven't crocheted in ages, would this be hard for a beginner? Can you email me the pattern as well? Thanks! redladysreadingroomATgmailDOTcom

Can you email me a copy of the instructions? I haven't really crocheted since I was in grammar school (a long time ago) and forgot the stitches that I learned from back then. I remember crocheting a bag with this stitch! This is the "forgotten" stitch, I've been looking for! Thanx so much for sharing! donacrane@gmail.com

My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
