On the Mend and a Holiday Weekend!!

I am on the mend from the summer cold, but from what I have seen from the other people in my office who have this it will be some time before this cough goes away and all the congestion. Oh well, what are you going to do! This holiday weekend will be a quiet one for John and I. Besides not feeling 100% and the temps are suppose to be really high (in the 90's) I don't think we will be wanting to do very many things. We may go to the pool here at the apartment, but only if it isn't too crowded. One of the days I know we will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. I will be meeting my knitting friends on Sunday to knit and chat for a few hours in the afternoon. John and I might take a drive out to Sea Grove, NC to see all the pottery those wonderful potters have created. We might even try to drive out to the Beach (3 hours away). We probably won't be seeing the kids this weekend or little Owen. What does everyone have planned for this weekend? Hopefully something fun. Just remember the reason for Memorial Day! I honor and thank all those who are serving and have served this wonderful country of ours!! Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

Glad you are feeling better, Sherri!

Nothing planned here. We were going to take a short trip and visit a friend, but then Fee found out he may have to go out of town for work. We are in wait-and-see mode about that and have canceled the trip to Mississippi.

I am glad you are feeling better, Sherri. Nothing going on here- MyHero is on call all weekend so that means we can't really plan anything as a family- Hope you have a great Holiday- xo Diana

So glad you're getting well again dear, it's been a long haul. Enjoy your relaxing holiday weekend.

I had such a great time, as always at Penny's, and then meeting up with Penny (Lake Lure) and Jane (Blondie) for lunch and shopping at the ScreenDoor.

This weekend we will be at home - our daughter Kim turns 45 today so will see her for a little celebration - then Bob and I hope to catch that new great movie just opening here, 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' with the ever amazing Brit actresses Judi Dench and Maggie Smith, and a great cast. As we were just in India I'm sure we'll find it very exciting....and hilarious!

Take care Sherri - we remembered you and all the gals at Penny's blog party - we hope to do it again some day!

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
