I have something to tell everyone.

Good Morning Everyone. I have something to tell everyone, I was going to wait but now I need prayers and support. I will just say it plain and simple, John and I are losing our house. We have been trying to work with the Bank for a few months and they just don't call back, they say they are working on a modification but they never return our calls. So John and I are forced to look for a rental. We thought we had found one last week and then we think that fell through. Today I'm leaving the office at 12:00 to go and look at some homes and townhomes. The thing that really burns me in all this is the news, people, etc. keep saying the Banks will work with you, that is an out and out lie! I know atleast 5 possibly 6 people that the Bank never got back to them and they still have their jobs but they still lost their homes. We could make about 3/4 to 7/8ths of our mtg. payment but the bank won't accept it, they want the full amount or nothing! How crazy is that! The kicker of the whole thing is they have a sheriff's sale scheduled for my 50th birthday, 7/23! John and I need your prayers and hugs that's for sure. I never thought we would ever be in this position, but we understand we are not alone. Not that it makes it totally better but we know we are good people it's just the real estate market and economy are not good for our business. Sorry to have to burden everyone about this but y'all would wonder why we were moving. You all are such a great group of people and your a great support group!

I am actually looking forward to finding a more affordable home, something smaller, which will be easier to keep clean. I will have fun decorating a new place where we can call home. Thanks everyone!

  1. Oh Sherri, I'm so sorry this is happening to you and John. I know you've both worked so hard at starting your own company, but the real estate business is so bad right now. I hope you can find something nice that will work for you. My thoughts are with you, dear friend.

  2. Sherri, I wish I lived near you, I'd be giving you a big hug right now. You and John will get through this. Houses can come and go, but as long as you've got each other, you'll be ok. And you post about it whenever you need a little support from us, ok? Things happen that are out of our control, we just have to do the best we can. And I know you and John are. I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope you can find a nice place very soon. ((hugs))

  4. Sherri, this has to be so stressful for you both. This economy is hurting us all so badly. I will be lucky if the company I work for doesn't go under. Good luck with your search. Hope you find something nice really quickly. You're bound to feel better when you get this all behind you.

  5. Oh Sherri! I am so very sorry. I can only imagine how you feel. My heart breaks for you. You are such a kind, sweet person and you and John are such an incredible team - for something like this to happen to you both, it is so painful. This will turn out, though. You do not see that now, but it will. My dad was born on 7/23 also - many years before you, but he was a truly wonderful man and you are a wonderful woman and this will be a new door opening for you. You will be in my prayers.

  7. Oh Sherri I just don't no what to say, sorry seems so inadequate for what you must be going through right now. The economy has hit alot of good people very hard and I am so sad to read it has now got a friend too. My prayers are with you both and I hope you can achieve a sale before 07/23 yourselves.

Hang in there, things can only get better from here on out. Keep thinking of that new grandchild.

  8. Hi Everyone! I appreciate all your wonderful, kind words we need them right now. I looked at some really nice rentals and some not so great. We found one townhome we really liked so our realtor is looking into it for us. We sent the application papers to her too. Keep your fingers crossed. Thanks again everyone!

  9. I'll be keeping my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you Sherri. I'm so sorry the banks were unresponsive. That is really unfair of them and unfeeling. I'm sending you a bushel of spiritual hugs and will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  10. Oh, Sherri, I'm sorry this has happened. I'm reading posts new to old so I saw your happy news before the sad. I just love the idea of a courtyard. I read once that women like that enclosed garden feeling where men like a wide open lawn. Think it is true??
