Odds and Ends Saturday!

Today is kind of an odds and ends day. I have dusting to do, cleaning up around here to do, design and some earrings, read, have dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday at last, etc. It is overcast here today, but I don't care since I've got many things indoors to keep me occupied. John is working until 5 today and then dinner out. Tomorrow he is off for the whole day-YAY!! We will be going to church and then home to do whatever we want! He says we need to address the garage again. I would like to make a jig for making my own earring wires, earrings and necklaces. He said he would help. I also have to go to Lowe's to get a metal snipper. I've been able to get heavier copper to make some hammer earrings, necklace pieces, etc. so I need to cut it with really sharp snippers. I am reading Life's a Beach by Claire Cook and I'm plowing through it really quickly-it's a great read! A great summer or Beach read.

Well the cleaning and all those things I mentioned I need to get done today isn't going to happen with me sitting here. I do love chatting with all my blog friends-old and new! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Sherri, I wanted to tell you before, I like your pink look -- the rose is gorgeous!

I'm up to odds and ends too. Just finished eating the soup I made earlier. And enjoyed a nice surprise as my neighbour spontaneously invited me for freshly made scones this morning. Yum! And they were accompanied by the loveliest of visits.

Brenda-I love scones! Lucky you!! Thanks on the comment on my rose. I grew it at the other house and snapped this picture this Spring. I transplanted it to the new house and it is doing great!! I'm so happy.

Sounds like you've had a delightful Saturday. Making jewelry sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you have an equally fun Sunday.

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
