My Husband is the Best!!!!

Tonight John and I had to go to Best Buy to pick up our computer from The Geek Squad. While we were there he said he was taking our computer tower out to the car and he would be back in because he wanted to get a movie. Well when he came back in he said he was buying me a Color Nook for an early Valentine's Day present!!! Much to our surprise Best Buy was out so we drove over to Barnes and Noble and we bought one there!

John also bought me this turquoise blue cover!!

The sales person at B&N told John that anyone with a Kindle or Nook just needs to type in 0.00 and alot of free books will show up and you can download them! I can't wait until it is full charged to use it!

John is the best!!

Oh Sherri! You lucky girl! Type in 0.00? Where? This is just so cool. My Kindle is (supposed to) coming tomorrow. Art agreed to just get the Kindle now and get a nook or ipad later so we can borrow books from the library which you can't do with the Kindle. But...0.00? Please tell me. I've got to know. Thanks so much! Your husband is the best!

Lori and Kay, on your keypad you just type in 0.00 and a whole group of books come up that are free and there are some for $.99! This opens up a whole new world for me, I'll tell you!!

My husband surprised me for Christmas and bought me the Nook Color and I so truly love it. You will have such fun with it Sherri! You will find many other very low-priced books when you browse also. Lots for just $5.00 I found. I love your turquoise cover. That's one of my favorite colors. They did not have that when I bought my cover. I got boring chocolate brown, but I love the little quote running down the side . . . "The writer only begins the book, the reader finishes it". Enjoy your new toy, Sherri!!

What a sweetie! I guess he was too excited to wait until Valentine's Day to give it to you. ;) Sounds like something my hubby would do, as well.

Thanks for visiting the cottage. I would love to have you join my weekly linky party. I'm very lax on the rules, so pretty much anything goes - as long as there's a link back in your blog to mine.

Have a great weekend!

Oh, pretty! Good Husband!

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
