Great Weekend!

This weekend was a really great weekend! Saturday is was raining like crazy here but John and I braved the weather and had breakfast out. After that we went over to the other part of the shopping center to Barnes and Noble. I got my Color Nook registered and then the lady told us at 1:00 she was having a Nook (Color or the regular one) demonstration. It was so informative and wonderful! I have now downloaded 24 books, most of which were free! I have only paid for 2 books so far and 2 magazines. I downloaded Martha Stewart Living and Country Living for $1.99 a month!! The nice part about it is you instantly have your magazine and you don't have to wait for it in the mail and it won't get lost!! You can attach the Nook to your computer and read it that way too! The other part of our Saturday was about 1 hr. with The Geek Squad getting the wi-fi issue at our house fixed. We reset the wireless router, got the wireless laptop, Roku box and The Nook working just fine now! That way we don't have to bother or son-in-law either!

Yesterday the girls and their men came over for the Super Bowl. The girls and I worked on knitting, crocheting and counted cross-stitch. I think John took a picture of all of us working on our needlecrafts! Megan does counted cross-stitch, Jenny was working on her baby sweater and I was still working on the co-worker's baby blanket. I know I have been saying this, but I think this week will have that blanket done. I'm going to work on Megan's shawl and get that done over the next 2 weeks. I have another baby blanket to start for another co-worker (that baby is due in April). By then I think I will be able to work on my grandbaby's knitted items I would like to make. Next Monday Jenny and Kevin find out with they are having.

So as you can read I had a very busy but great weekend!! Now there is work!

  6. That really is nice that B&N gives demonstations. I wish we could have one for the Kindle. I like mine, but I haven't figured everything out yet. I know I have to read the manual, but I'd love for somebody to just show me. I've downloaded a lot of pre-1923 books from the Amazon site. The Guttenburg site is a good place to download books, too.
