The Weekend of 08.11.17-08.13.17

What an awesome weekend John and I had!  Friday was our 38th Wedding Anniversary!  We had to work but we had reservations at Ted's Montana Grill for dinner and it was wonderful!  Here is my hubby at the restaurant:

I had the Ted's Bison Filet and it was so tender!  It was sooooo good.  John had the Bison Pot Roast and he said it was wonderful too.  I would definitely go back there.  Our waiter, was so wonderful.  He was so polite and knew just when to come to the table and when not to pester us like some waiter staff does.

Then Saturday we ran errands in the morning.  Around 3:30 Owen and Jack came over.  Jenny and Kevin had some things to do, so we watched both boys for a few hours.  Owen was already scheduled to stay overnight by himself with us.  We had so much fun with him!  He is such a good boy!  We played games, he played with his Legos, we watched movies and just plain had fun with him.  This morning he slept in until 8:30!!  I made him emoji pancakes (his request) and bacon.  He loves bacon so much, I think that is what keeps him going because he doesn't like much else!!  We hung out the rest of the morning and then took him to Hickory Tavern for lunch.  After that we of course, had to go to Target so he could pick out some Ninjago Legos and a Minion gift for Jack.  We dropped him off at his house, visited with Kevin and Jack for a short time.  We are not home chilling out :)!!  It was such a great weekend!!

  1. Happy Anniversary, Sherri! 38 years!! Wonder how many of today's marriages will last that long?! We have our 43rd coming up. How the heck did we get to be this age?

Jack & Owen are so cute! Owewn's expressions remind me so much of our little CJK. They are both cute boys.

Hope your whole week is a good one. xo Diana

  2. Thanks Diana! Everyone else is getting older, we are not LOL :)!!!!

  3. Loved the pics, Sherri. Happy anniversary to you and John!

  4. It sounds like a wonderful weekend! Happy Anniversary!

  5. Belated happy anniversary dear Sherri - you two certainly don't look old enough to have been married that long!!!!!
We celebrated 53 years this year - goodness only knows where those years went!

Lovely pix of the boys - growing fast - and lovely summertime flowers. May be awfully humid here in NC in August, but the garden still is producing great blooms (morning glories are loving it right now), and fabulous herbs, especially basil, for cooking!

    Hugs - Mary

  6. I can't remember if I wished you a Happy Anniversary on facebook or not so if I didn't please accept my well wishes to you both.

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.

Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!

Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
