Bought a Meyer Lemon Tree today!

John and I went to Lowe's this morning to buy our son-in-law, Ken a grill light for his birthday party today and we came home with that and a Meyer Lemon Tree for ourselves! I have always wanted one. I bought one many years ago but it didn't make it. We lived in NJ then and even though I brought it in in the Fall it didn't make it. I am really excited about having one and can't wait until it bears fruit and we can use our own lemons! I am going to put it in a container tomorrow and set it on the patio.

  1. I love lemon trees! Donna has one - named Lester - that did great last year. The lemons were a good size and tasted nice and tart. This year, lots of blossoms but no fruit. Of course, it might help if she watered it!

  2. How great Sherri to be able to grow your own lemons, I would be excited too.

  3. Sherri, my parents have a lemon tree in AZ and the lemons are wonderful. I know you'll enjoy having this tree. I wish our climate would allow us to grow them!

  4. We have a Meyer lemon, too. Two of them. One is in the shade and doesn't do very well but the one in the sun produces a lot of lemons even with the bulbul constantly eating the buds. We love having the tree and you will, too.

  5. I'm jealous, a lemon tree :), there's nothing more wonderful than fresh fruit and lemons are wonderful! Enjoy it! :)

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.

Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!

Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
