Fall has arrived in Charlotte!

Well this morning John came back in the house from taking Teddy on his morning walk. First thing I smelled was the brisk fresh air he brought in with him!! Teddy obviously loved the cool morning walk, because he was running through the house like a crazy dog!! It was around 47 degrees!! When the heck did that happen!! We had such hot weather this summer that I really will be enjoying this cooler weather. The heat actually came on by itself this morning the temps had dropped so low during the night.

Time to bring out the throws, sweaters, socks, jackets, etc. I am looking forward to this though. I will miss summer but I know it will be back here soon enough!

Everyone enjoy the crisp Autumn air!! Take a lovely walk or stroll today!

  1. Wow, first time heat on! I'm in New England here, and I'm still fine for now. Well, I have to admit I used the little space heater a couple of times at night! But sounds like you're enjoying it very much!

  2. I could use some brisk fall air right now. Maybe not 47 degrees though. I'm still wanting the air conditioner over here in Hawaii.

  3. Summer was hot, wasn't it? I am loving the fall temps we are having!

  4. I told Don just yesterday that this is sure the prettiest time of the year. He gets cold easily so I'm not sure he agrees.

  5. Yes, this is what we've been waiting for. Raleigh was far too hot this Summer. Today I aired my duvet outside in the sunshine and have now slipped it into my lovely new linen cover - tonight, with the windows open, I will snuggle in the wonderful glory of Autumn.

See you in Asheville where I know it will be cool and beautiful.

  6. I love how you said that... he brought the brisk air in with him. I like that smell too!

Haven't been by lately, and I thought I had to come and see what you've been up to!

LOVED that beautiful tree in full autumn splendour!

  7. Hello Dear Sherri~ please let me know if I can send you the clover leaf as my gift. I like to send pieces which have special meaning; maybe you can save it for her for Christmas? xxoo Andrea

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.

Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!

Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
