New Camera for my Birthday!

My husband and girls gave me a new SLR camera for my birthday in July!  I have wanted one forever!!  My wish finally came true!!  It is so amazing, even though I need to learn some more techniques.  I am a gardener and I love to photography my flowers, butterflies, etc.  Here is one of a swallowtail butterfly I took the other day.

The sharpness and clarity of the photos I have been taking are just wonderful!  I have a huge butterfly bush in the backyard and there are usually 6 or more butterflies on it, just flitting around.  They are so graceful and beautiful!

Here are just a few more photos I took.

Photography is alot of fun and I'm look forward to learn how to take many more wonderful photos!
Everyone have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Belated Happy Birthday dear Sherri. Were you in Beaufort, NC to celebrate? One of my favorite coastal spots here.

Know you'll have fun with your new camera. A DSLR can be complicated - for me who has no patience anyway - but persevere, you'll love it.

Have a great weekend and get out there and shoot lots of pix!!!!

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.

Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!

Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
