Fall is Upon Us!

I went mum shopping with Megan and Ken yesterday. Thought I would show you what I bought. I needed to get rid of the sickly looking plants in the urns leading to our front door. I pulled out those plants, which was no small fete since some of the plants like the dusty miller and the vinca had been in the pot since 2007! Things winter over here. I just put the mums in the urns this time because they were so full. I think it makes the entryway look so much nicer and more welcoming. Lets hope it attacts a buyer!

Your entrance looks beautiful..very fall festive and inviting. Love the white mums that contrast nicely with the brick.

I've noticed that your pics are so nice...what kind of camera do you have? We're looking at new cameras so I was interested in which one you use.

Bonnie, I have a Pentax Optio E50. It works for me! Someday I would like to get another Digital Camera that take really great closeup photos. With DH working at Best Buy that might happen at some point.

The mums look pretty. I need to get some for my house.

I have some begonias from the summer that still look good. I was thinking of pulling them up and putting them in big pots and try to hold them over the winter. Think it might work??

Lynne, the begonias should winter over in the garage. I have done that before.

Love the flowers! And I love some of the books on your list, too -- I have long been a fan of "The Cat WHo" books, for example, (though I must say I hated the most recent one). You have eclectic tastes, as I do myself. Been recommending to my friends a great novel of redemption and hope, and faith, "Recovering Charles." It's set in New Orleans, after Katrina and involves a family dealing with their personal tragedies. Great read. Jason Wright, who also wrote "The Wednesday Letters," is the author.

Hi Sherri :)

I hope it attracts a buyer for you too! If it works, I'll get some :)

I'm so sorry to hear about the gas troubles down there!! I hope it gets better soon.

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.
Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!
Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
