Knitting Group

Last night was knitting group. While everyone wasn't there last night we still managed to have a fun time! The girls in that group are a hoot! We meet every Tuesday and boy do we have alot of fun! I'm working on a baby blanket for someone at my church. I made alot of headway with that too! Some of the girls are working on socks, sweaters, shawls, vests and children's hats. Some are going to be Christmas gifts, some just for themselves and some just gifts from the heart. There is alot of talent in my knitting group. The shop owner, Sara is a lovely person too! She will help you with anything you bring in that just isn't working, she'll help you pick out patterns, yarn and anything else you will need. She works such long hours but seems to be enjoying herself the whole time! I am really glad I happened upon this happy group that day at The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden! They are wonderful ladies!

  1. I remember reading a book about a knitting group a few years ago. It was an interesting book, everyone in the group had different personalities and different challenges in their personal lives.

  2. Sherri, this sounds wonderful. You know I just finished reading a Debbie Macomber book about a knitting group called A Good Yarn and it was so much fun. I need to find me a quilting group and finally start with that.

  3. Angie, I've read all the Debbie Macomber books about the knitting shop and group. They are great books! Find that quilting group and quilt away! Some people in my knitting group and myself quilt also!

  4. I used to go to a knitting group here where I live and I loved it. Wish I lived closer. You and I have so much in common. I love to knit. I am working on a baby afghan now and I just finished knitting 5 scarves to send to one of my blog friends whose church was taking them on a mission trip to Peru. Love & blessings from NC!
