Today is the big day!

Well today is the big day we sell our house! This has been a long time coming and we are so glad it is finally going to end this chapter in our life. I was tempted to go over to the house last night and say goodbye, but I chose not too. It is a little sad selling this house since Jenny, our youngest daughter got married there and Megan, our oldest daughter had her rehearsal dinner there for her wedding. But sometimes things change and you need to just move on. This was our first house in the South. We moved here in June 2004, so we had 5 years and 3 months there. We are very happy renting the townhouse we are in now though. Alot less work taking care of a 2,000 sf townhome than a 4,000 sf house! I hope the new owners are happy there and take care of it. Bye old house!

  1. Bye to the old house but think of all the new memories your new one will be filled with.

    Victoria xx

  2. Looking forward instead of back has to be the best alternative. I'm really glad things worked out.

  3. Your old house is gorgeous, but there is no way in heaven that I would ever want the responsibility of keeping it clean. Oh my! All my spare time would be spent cleaning!

A chapter is closed, but you have begun a beautiful new one!!

  4. The closing went well except for the washer, dryer and refrigerator purchase. That got straightened out but the purchasers were not nice at all. On with the new!

  5. Blessings as you turn and face your future in your new home. As Forence and Mary already mentioned, think of all the wonderful new memories that will fill your new home!

  6. I'm sorry for the pain you're going through to leave your beautiful home. However, you really found a gorgeous place to move into.

Ring of Kerry, Ireland
My husband, John and I went to Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. We had an awesome trip and we will never forget it. We actually got to visit our friends who live in Northern Ireland. We spent 3 wonderful days with them! The picture above was taken when we visited The Ring of Kerry. The beauty of Ireland is just spectacular! If you ever get a chance visit there.

Megan is my oldest daughter. She and Ken were married on April 12, 2008. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception!

Jenny and Kevin at their wedding 8/30/08. The wedding was at our home and turned out wonderful! Everyone had such a good time!
